Who has a love like that
The one that crosses borders and all paths of easiness and the only difference is the time
Where its hardships are always worth fighting for
For a love so great and sweet
Who has a love like that
Through music our love is made and heard
30 hours and 40 hours of songs and lyrics and so many words that were not ours but we gave them to each other as gifts
Of what we wanted to say when others could say it more gracefully
When each language and word and phrase enmeshed into each other into a story that would be written everyday
A curation and collection of love songs and songs and songs of poetry of words and language
Attempts to capture and translate
To write down what it is
To get to ours
But ours was the collection itself, the moving and evolving trajectory through ups and downs and highs and lows where our words were spoken through others voices
Where we strung strings into tapestries and repainted the verses
Who has a love like that
An undefinable movement that keeps on going
A romantic story that touches every genre with a gentle caress
A moment in time captured, stamped by date and time
And that time when we danced and danced into darkness
When the car ride went on for hours and landscapes changed whilst we remained the same
As the thunder and rain lashed down and we were one in the same
Held by the wind
Like the many times we sat looking at the same painting for minutes wondering if our minds were in the same place
Who has a love like that
Of waiting to say I love you because you know it will change everything
Whispering no and yes until they muddle into each other
And things in the world take on greater meanings as if they are speaking to us
Strangers in the dark mingling in each other’s embrace
And a new world is born
Who has a love like that
That stays strong and bold
Never faltering but being side by side
Who has a love like that
Where I drink water the same way you do puffing up your cheeks
Slowly doing up your laces
Mornings into afternoons into evenings
And time moves too fast that I couldn't catch it
Who has a love like that
Where love changes for each person or perhaps it is the same Love but just wrapped or received differently
A pink ribbon instead of silver
Strung in a bow instead of a knot
And doesn’t love grow
Into itself and out of itself
Challenging its corners to turn upwards
Who has a love like that
Of that romantic comedy that makes us weep in tandem
And words can only be words
But can music only be music
All encompassed into that thing we call Love
